Introducing the world's first Still in a Grill, the ultimate backyard device for crafting your own Rye Whiskey. Developed in partnership with Traeger Grills, this integrated system is compatible with the new Ironwood® and Timberline® grills, allowing for a seamless drop and distill process that's simple and foolproof. With WiFIRE® connectivity and the Set-It & Forget-It® feature, you can effortlessly monitor the distillation process from your smartphone or tablet. Plus, with our Still in a Grill Starter Kit, you'll have everything you need for a successful distilling experience, including pre-measured pellets, rye grain, and yeast. To craft remarkably complex Rye Whiskey, you’ll need imagination, ingredients and time. Our Still in a Grill and Starter Kit have you covered with the good stuff to start distilling like a pro. A 19L replica of WhistlePig’s La Mauve hybrid still (complete with pig tail) condenses into a pre-toasted Vermont Oak barrel to take you straight from Grill Mode to Still Mode to relax-and-wait mode while time works its magic on your tasty backyard spirit. We like to give it 10 years, and recommend timing it to something low and slow as a starting point.

Each pre-measured Starter Kit captures WhistlePig’s Farm terroir with Danko Rye harvested from Mortimer Hill and locally foraged Vermont yeast. Perfect your recipe with your own local water source, Traeger pellet flavor, and advanced distilling techniques such as artisinal pigchuga, seared single barrel, or a pork barrel finish. (IYKYK, and if not, we don’t recommend trying it at home.)
